Smart Systems Lab arises at EEEI

Recognizing that current and emerging systems are/will be smart, previous faculty members of the Computer Networks Laboratory (CNL) — namely Dr. Isabel Austria, Dr. Jaybie de Guzman, and Prof. Jhoanna Pedrasa — have formed the Smart Systems Laboratory (SSL). The emphasis on smart systems is the result of the coalescence of the fields of research that the three founding faculty members are currently involved in. The lab was formally named on 29 September 2022.

Currently, SSL is housed at EEEI Bldg. Rm 310 and 312 and supports around 50 student affiliates. As of 21 Nov 2022, the lab has opened limited access to RM 310 to student affiliates.

      Hi Teknik Elektro,

Thank you for your query. The Smart Systems Lab currently works on the following research areas: environmental monitoring, web/mobile security, and assistive collaboration. You may explore the current project briefs from here: https://ssl.eee.upd.edu.ph/index.php/research/
